Someone in a Cypress community group asked a simple question: any recommendations for a good pool cleaner?
Twelve companies came back. Some were named by customers, some by the owners themselves, and one turned out not to be a pool cleaner at all.

Weekly cleaning, water balancing, debris removal, filter checks, equipment inspection, leak detection and seasonal maintenance. They also cover Jersey Village, Copperfield, Spring and Tomball, which matters more than it sounds: a company with density in your area shows up on a predictable day, and a company driving 40 minutes to reach you is the one that skips a week in August.

The detail worth knowing is one most pool companies won't offer: on-site equipment training. They'll walk you through your own pad so you can run it yourself. That's a company confident enough in the recurring service that it isn't protecting its knowledge, and it's the difference between calling someone for a tripped breaker and flipping it yourself.

One of the few on this list with an actual address rather than a truck and a service radius — which is worth something when you need to drop off a part or get a straight answer about a warranty.

The only company here named twice by the same neighbor, once with the number and once without, which is usually what a genuine recommendation looks like when someone remembers halfway through the thread that they forgot the details.
Their website is currently down, so the phone is the way in.

Worth calling if you're on the Katy side of Cypress, less so if you're up toward Tomball. Ask where their route actually runs before you book.

They are not a weekly cleaning route — they are the people you call when the equipment fails. Pump, filter and heater repair and replacement, Hayward and Goldline warranty work, and quarterly equipment check-ups.
That warranty authorization is the part most people don't think about until it costs them. If your pad is Hayward and you let an unauthorized company touch it, you can void coverage on a $1,500 pump. Ask any repair company what brands they're authorized for before they open anything.

Weekly and monthly service, but the reason to keep this number is everything underneath the weekly work: acid wash, drain and clean, leak detection, plaster, start-ups, pool lights, filter cleans and cleaner tune-ups.
Most route companies quietly subcontract those jobs or tell you to call someone else. A single operator who does all of it is the one to keep on the fridge for the year your plaster finally goes.

Different kind of company than the rest of this page, and useful for a different reason. If what you actually have is a tired 20-year-old pool and you're weighing "clean it up" against "resurface it," a builder will give you a straighter answer about which one is throwing money away.

This is not a pool cleaner. Spray deck is the textured coating that goes over the concrete around the pool — the surface that gets blindingly hot and starts flaking after about a decade in Texas sun.
It landed in a thread about pool cleaning because the two problems arrive together: the summer you finally deal with the water is usually the summer you notice the deck. Worth the number if the concrete is what's actually bothering you.

The warmest recommendation in the whole thread: "Absolutely amazing. They have been taking care of my pool for years. Only thing I have to do is enjoy it!"
One catch, and it's the reason this entry exists rather than sitting at the top of the page. Their published service area is Montgomery County — Montgomery, Conroe, The Woodlands, Willis, Magnolia, Spring and Huntsville. Cypress is not on it.
So either they travel further than their own site says, or the neighbor who recommended them isn't in Cypress. Call and ask before you get your hopes up. If you're up in Magnolia or Spring reading this, though, that quote is the strongest endorsement on this page.

How to actually pick one
Four questions that sort the good ones from the rest faster than reading reviews:
"What day do you run my neighborhood?" A company with a real route names a day. A company that says "we'll work it out" is fitting you into gaps, and you'll be the one they skip when it rains.
"What brands are you warranty-authorized for?" Matters the moment a pump or heater fails. Unauthorized work can void a manufacturer warranty on equipment worth more than a year of service.
"Is chemistry included or billed separately?" The single biggest source of surprise pool bills. A $150 monthly quote and a $150 monthly quote can be $80 apart once chlorine and acid land on the invoice.
"Who actually shows up?" Some of the companies on this page are one person. Some run crews. Neither is better — but a one-person operation that takes on 20 more pools in June is how service quality quietly collapses in July.
One last thing worth saying plainly: in Houston, a pool that goes three weeks without service in August doesn't get dirty, it turns green — and a green-pool recovery costs several times what the missed visits saved. Reliability is the whole product. That's exactly why the recommendation of a neighbor who has used someone for years beats a five-star average from strangers.
