We asked a Willis community group a plain question: who's actually the best pool service around here? Not the biggest company. The one that shows up the same day every week and doesn't ghost you in August.
Eight companies came back.
One name came up twice, from two people who had no idea anyone else was saying it. Another turned out to have been keeping the same neighbor's pool for four years. Everything else got a single, specific vote — which in a town this size is what a real recommendation looks like. Nobody in Willis has used all eight.
Those two facts are the whole value of the list. A repeat mention tells you a company is good enough that strangers independently agree. A four-year run tells you a company is still good in year four, which is a different and harder thing.
Here's the part that makes this list worth more than a search results page: almost none of these companies rank on Google for "pool service Willis." The first page of that search is franchises and lead-generation sites that sell your phone number to four contractors at once. One thing to know before you call anyone. Pool work splits into three jobs that get lumped together — weekly cleaning (skim, brush, vacuum, chemistry), equipment repair (pumps, filters, heaters, salt cells), and the heavy stuff (green-to-clean recovery, drain and clean, plumbing leaks, plaster). Most companies here do all three. Hiring the wrong kind is how people end up paying twice.

The only company named by two separate people in the thread, and the closest thing to a consensus answer this town produced.
Two things about how they price are worth more than any review. Chemicals are included in the service cost, not billed separately — that's the single biggest source of surprise pool bills, and two $150 monthly quotes can end up $80 apart once chlorine and acid land on the invoice. And there's no long-term contract, so you can use them as needed rather than signing up for a year to find out whether they show up. They also offer same-day service.
The catch, and it's a real one: they're based in Klein, about forty miles south of Willis. So either they run further north than their address suggests, or the two people who named them are commuting Montgomery County residents who picked up the recommendation elsewhere. Ask what day their route reaches you before you book. If you're down toward Spring or Tomball reading this, that's two independent votes and no hesitation.

Family owned and operated, actually headquartered in Willis rather than serving it from the edge of a Conroe route — which is the difference between a company that names your day and one that fits you into gaps.
Scheduled weekly and bi-weekly cleanings, one-time cleans, chemical balancing, filter cleaning and repairs. Their published territory is west Montgomery County, running down through Conroe, The Woodlands and Spring.
They're the most documented company on this page — a real website, a BBB profile, and years of review history behind them. If you want to check someone out before handing over a gate code, this is the one you can actually check out.

Willis-based pool and hot tub service. Small operation — the number goes to the business, not a dispatcher, and they list themselves as reachable around the clock.
The spa side matters more than it sounds. Plenty of weekly pool routes won't touch a hot tub, and a separate spa call-out is its own trip charge. If you have both, one company covering both is worth asking about directly.

That combination is unusual and fairly practical. If the thing that's actually bothering you is the pool and the fence and the pressure washing, one number for all of it beats coordinating three. Ask what falls inside the pool service and what gets quoted separately — with a combined operation, that line is worth establishing up front.

Veteran-owned and operated — founded by a retired Army sergeant first class and his wife, who started the company specifically around communication, which is the complaint people have about pool companies more often than the cleaning itself.
The service list is the deepest here: monthly maintenance, salt cell cleaning, filter cleaning, pool plumbing repairs and leak detection, one-time deep cleans, green-to-blue recovery, and full drain and clean. That covers all three kinds of pool work, so they're a reasonable single number to keep.
Published service area runs Montgomery, Conroe, Willis, Magnolia, Pinehurst, Plantersville, Tomball and The Woodlands. Weekdays only — closed weekends, which is worth knowing if Saturday is when you notice a problem.

The longest relationship anyone in the thread described. Asked how long they'd been using them, the neighbor who named them said: "going on 4 years now, service and repairs."
That's worth more than a star rating, and it's worth more than a single recommendation, because it answers the only question that actually matters with a pool company: not whether they were good once, but whether they were still good in year four. Anybody can be reliable in April.
Conroe-based, covering both ends of the trade: routine maintenance, repairs, filter cleaning, sealant and green-to-clean recovery on one side, and remodels and new pool construction on the other. The four years covered service and repairs, which means this isn't a route company that hands off the moment a pump fails.
That second half is why you'd keep this number even if you already have someone weekly. If what you actually have is a tired twenty-year-old pool and you're weighing "clean it up" against "resurface it," a company that builds pools will give you a straighter answer about which one is throwing money away.
One practical note: they have no website, and we couldn't find them on Google Maps either. The phone number and email above are the way in. It's a fair illustration of why a list like this exists — a company can keep the same customer happy for four years and still be effectively unsearchable.

Primarily a builder, which puts them in a different category from the weekly routes on this page. Worth the call for construction, major renovation, or a second opinion on whether a problem is the equipment or the pool itself. For a straightforward weekly clean in Willis, one of the closer companies above will almost certainly be cheaper to get to you.
Named, but we couldn't track it down

Named in the thread. No confirmed Willis-area company by that name.
There's a Phoenix Pool Service in northwest Houston, off Cypresswood — but that's about forty miles from Willis and we couldn't confirm it's the same company, so we're not going to publish a phone number and let you find out the hard way.

How to actually pick one
Four questions that sort the good ones from the rest faster than reading reviews:
"What day do you run my neighborhood?" A company with a real route names a day. A company that says "we'll work it out" is fitting you into gaps, and you'll be the one they skip when it rains. This is the single most useful question on the list, and it's the one that separates the companies genuinely based in Willis from the ones reaching up from Spring and Klein.
"Is chemistry included or billed separately?" The biggest source of surprise pool bills in Texas. Ask before you compare two monthly quotes, because you're probably not comparing the same thing.
"What brands are you warranty-authorized for?" Matters the moment a pump, heater or salt cell fails. Unauthorized work can void a manufacturer warranty on equipment worth more than a year of service.
"Who actually shows up?" Some companies on this page are one person. Some run crews. Neither is better — but a one-person operation that takes on twenty more pools in June is how service quality quietly collapses in July.
One last thing worth saying plainly: around Lake Conroe, a pool that goes three weeks without service in August doesn't get dirty, it turns green — and a green-to-clean recovery costs several times what the missed visits saved. Reliability is the entire product. That's exactly why a neighbor who has used the same company for years beats a five-star average from strangers.
