Magnolia's Hidden Gems: 19 Local Businesses Neighbors Actually Recommend
We asked a simple question in a Magnolia community group: what are the best hidden gem businesses around here that more people should know about?
The answers came in fast, and they weren't the places you'd find on a "top 10" list scraped off Google. They were the bakery tucked at the back of a building on Tamina. The auto glass shop that got someone in the same day for a fraction of what the national chain quoted. The remodeler whose wife will tell you straight up that her husband is the best master carpenter in the area.
So here they are — Magnolia's hidden gems, named by the people who actually use them. Where a neighbor said something specific, we left their words in.
Food and Drink
The Flour Petal Bakery
32907 Tamina Rd, Suite C, Magnolia, TX 77354 · theflourpetalbakery.com
Owner Courtney Nguyen said it best herself: "We're at the back of our building so sometimes we get missed." Which is the whole point of a list like this.
Open since 2020, The Flour Petal pairs custom cakes and mini desserts with fresh-cut flowers — the two things that end up at the center of a gathering anyway. Custom cakes, cupcakes, daily sweets, and sourdough. The flavor list runs further than most bakeries dare, including Vietnamese coffee cake.
Hours as Courtney posted them: Tuesday 10am–4pm, Wednesday–Saturday 10am–8pm, Sunday 12pm–4pm, closed Mondays. Worth a call before a long drive, since bakery hours move.
Amelia's Eats
Magnolia, TX · Tuesday–Saturday, 11am–6pm
A small burger spot with a Cajun streak. The Classic Smash Burger is the headliner, but the boudin balls — battered, deep fried, available rolled in hot Cheeto powder if you're in that mood — are what people bring up unprompted.
Madeline Brown's ranking: "Cheeseburger all the way. Boudin balls are my 2nd favorite."
Cajun AF
At Moonshine Deck Icehouse, 6446 Old FM 1488 Rd, Magnolia, TX 77354
Cajun food out of the Moonshine Deck, which is already one of the more pleasant places in Magnolia to sit outside with something cold.
Zerick Wallace's order, and we're quoting it exactly because paraphrasing would ruin it: "The grilled fish and shrimp combo and add a churro funnel cake. The flavor will have you melting in your chair."
Align Coffee Co.
FM 1488, Magnolia, TX
Brand new — a husband-and-wife shop from Yael Gurwitz-Elkin and Jeff Elkin that soft-opened in July. The whole build is around ingredients: house-made nut milks, handcrafted syrups instead of pumped-in bottles, additive-free dairy, and gluten-free baked goods. A child- and dog-friendly patio was in the works as of opening.
Yael's own list of what to order, which is more of a run-on than a list: "Iced honey lavender latte, banana bread latte, strawberry cloud, bee sting — so many great things."
The Evolving Baker
23933 Nichols Sawmill Rd #1C · evolvingbaker.com
Morgan Sanford started this as a home-based custom cake business and opened a real storefront just down Nichols Sawmill in mid-2026. Her own top three: custom cakes, cupcakes, and scones.
The apple pie cupcakes get a lot of attention on her page, and deservedly.

Nourished For You — recommended by Jennifer Young Crawford, who called it "a unique place and great tuna salad." Luliet — named by Cyrus Nasr.
Shops and Makers
Six Shooter Junction Boutique
17645 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354 · also in Montgomery · sixshooterjunctionboutiques.com
Women's and children's clothing, gifts, accessories, handmade goods, vintage pieces and home décor, with a Western lean. Jodi Kennedy pointed people to the Magnolia location: "Always has great things & the staff is great."
The staff part comes up in nearly every review. You may get offered sweet tea while you browse.
RAW Revival Skin Company
Magnolia, TX — home-based, ships nationwide · rawrevivalskin.com
Rach Warrington makes Texas-made whole skin and body care. No storefront yet — she sells online, ships across the US, and works vendor shows and farmers markets. Though, as she put it about the summer market season: "Unless it's inside with A/C, I am not about that life anymore."
Fair. She's working toward brick-and-mortar placement in a few areas.
Emma Lou's Boutique
Magnolia, TX
Cheryl Crowder Clancy made the case in one line: "Best clothing hands down. Sizes from 0-24W. Great staff and owners."
That size range is the part worth repeating. A boutique that actually carries 0 through 24W is doing something most don't.
Screaming Tees
Old Town Magnolia, TX
Custom apparel and printed tees, run with Angie Faul Wright. Joe Westbrook's recommendation came with three exclamation points and a location: "In old town Magnolia!!!"
The Lotus Blossom Floral and Design
Magnolia, TX
Floral and design work, named by a neighbor in the thread.

Ashley's pitch in the thread was short and confident: "Family owned and operated. My husband has over 25 years of construction experience and is the best master carpenter in the area."
Wild Rose Events & Co.
Magnolia, TX · wildrosepremier.com
Wedding planning, day-of coordination, and linen and décor rentals, run by co-founders Haylee and Chris. Based in Magnolia and working across Bryan/College Station, Navasota, Houston, Galveston, Austin and Dallas.
They handle everything from grand ballroom weddings to small fairytale ceremonies, and take a deliberately limited number of clients a year.
Eagle Auto Glass
32815 FM 2978, Suite E/F, Magnolia, TX 77354 · eagleautoglass.net
Family owned, in business since 2015. Windshield repair and replacement, rock chip repair, and window tinting — with mobile service if you don't want to give up an afternoon.
Jason Ross gave the most useful recommendation in the entire thread, because he included the comparison: "They were able to get me in same day, were very nice, got it done quickly, and were a fraction of the price of Safelite — who are usually reasonable."
Divorce Equity Solutions
Southeast Texas · divorceequitysolutions.com
Matt and Shelley Mitchell run a divorce consulting practice focused on one specific and genuinely confusing question: what happens to the equity in the house. Keep it, sell it, refinance, or something else. Both are Certified Divorce Lending Professionals.
They also maintain a list of vetted providers — attorneys, agents, and others — for people who don't know where to start.
Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi
Magnolia, TX
Yoga and tai chi classes, named by Cyrus Nasr, who also pointed to Anew Chiropractic TX and Coffee Cup Counseling as places worth knowing about locally. David McCracken seconded Coffee Cup.
Family and Learning
ACE Elite Cheer & Tumbling
36811 FM 1774, Magnolia, TX 77355 · aceelitecheer.com
Just opened. Jackie Hernandez laid out the whole offering: "Cheer and tumbling classes, competitive teams, adult fitness classes, dance classes and open gym."
A family-oriented non-profit taking athletes ages 4 to 18, with half- and full-year competitive teams and scholarship options. The adult fitness and open gym hours make it more than a kids' program.
Ivy Kids Audubon
16880 Mill Run Dr, Pinehurst, TX 77362 (Audubon) · opening Fall 2026 · ivykids.com
A brand-new 10,700-square-foot early learning campus in the Audubon community, owned by Bulbul Patel-Shah and Parth Shah — local parents raising two young kids of their own.
The program runs from six weeks through age 12: infant care, toddler classrooms, preschool, pre-K, before- and after-school care, and seasonal camps. Cognia-accredited, with secure entry, CPR- and first-aid-certified staff, and smaller student-to-teacher ratios than the state requires.
Bulbul's note in the thread: "I would love to talk to you about what we are building at Ivy Kids Audubon to serve the growing needs of the amazing families in Magnolia."
Why this list exists
Every business on this page got here the same way: a neighbor typed their name into a Facebook thread without being paid to.
That's still the best signal there is, and it's exactly what a directory should be built on. Houston Pros HQ is a free directory of Houston-area businesses organized by trade — remodelers and handymen, auto repair, party and event rentals, yoga studios, and about thirty more categories.
