Willis Hidden Gems: The Local Businesses Neighbors Named Over and Over
We asked a Willis community group a simple question: what are the hidden gem businesses around here that more people should know about?
The thread did something we didn't expect. It didn't just produce a list — it produced a consensus. A handful of names came back again and again from people who had no idea anyone else was naming them. Blue Willow Coffee got mentioned six separate times. HIGH BROW, LOW KEY five. Crossties Nutrition five.
When that many neighbors independently type the same name, that's not marketing. That's a town telling you where it actually goes.
Forty-plus businesses came out of that thread. Here's all of it.
The ones Willis kept naming
Blue Willow Coffee
211 W Montgomery St, Willis, TX 77378 · Tue–Sat, 7am–2pm
Six people named it. Not one of them elaborated much — one neighbor just said "Blue Willow Coffee is the best!" and another managed four exclamation points and nothing else — which is its own kind of review.
A woman-owned shop in downtown Willis doing lattes, custom energy drinks and breakfast. If you only take one recommendation off this page, the town has already voted on which one.
HIGH BROW, LOW KEY
109 N Danville St, Willis, TX 77378
Five mentions, and people kept typing the name in all caps, which we've left alone.
It's a full-service studio and salon in downtown Willis, and the service list is unusually wide: hair, color, extensions, permanent makeup, eyebrow mapping, henna brows, waxing, and piercings. One neighbor called it "HIGH BROW LOW KEY piercing & more salon," which is about the most efficient description possible.
Walk-ins welcome, appointments recommended.
Crossties Nutrition
107 E Marlin St, Willis, TX 77378 · Mon–Fri from 6am, Sat 8am–3pm
Five people named it, spelled it four different ways, and clearly all meant the same place. Specialty teas, protein shakes and smoothies, open early enough to catch you before work.
Food
The Corral
200 E Powell St, Willis, TX 77378
Named twice. Family-owned, scratch-made Texas comfort food. Two different people pointed at it without prompting.
Lago Pizzeria
11845 Calvary Rd, Willis, TX 77318
One neighbor's framing was exactly right for this list: "Lago Pizzeria is definitely a hidden gem. It is off of Calvary Rd."
That second sentence is the reason it qualifies. It's off the main drag near Lake Conroe, and if you don't already know it's there, you don't find it by accident.
Buttermilk Cafe & Events
302 N Danville St, Willis, TX 77378 · Mon–Sat, 6:30am–3pm
Breakfast and lunch made fresh daily in downtown Willis, and an event space alongside it. Named more than once.
DB Farm Grub Wagon BBQ
Rose Road, Willis, TX
One neighbor didn't hedge: "Best BBQ anywhere in my opinion."
Bubba T's Cajun Kitchen
400 W Montgomery St, Willis, TX 77378 · Mon–Sat, 11am–9pm · bubbats.com
One neighbor made a distinction most people wouldn't bother to: "Serves real farm raised catfish — NOT the Swai or Tilapia fish sold as catfish. Great food!"
It matters. All-you-can-eat catfish is the flagship, alongside gumbo, shrimp tacos and a shrimp-and-catfish combo you can get blackened, fried or grilled.
Curry & Grill
1082 FM 830, Willis, TX 77318
The most surprising entry in the thread. Someone found it by accident: "Indian food in Willis. Came across them when gassing up."
Authentic Indian and Chinese, with butter chicken and garlic naan the dishes people keep pointing at. Not what anyone expects to find on FM 830, which is exactly what earns it a spot here.
Zully's Latin American Kitchen
904 W Montgomery St, Willis, TX 77378
Named twice. Salvadoran and Latin American cooking — pupusas, soups and plates you won't find anywhere else in town.
La Casita Tex-Mex Restaurant
305 E Powell St, Willis, TX 77378
Family-run Tex-Mex just off the square. The recommendation came in as a screenshot of their page with "100% recommend" on it, which is one way to make a point.
Pizza Shack
115 W Montgomery St, Willis, TX 77378
A downtown Willis pizza shop, named alongside a couple of other favorites by the same person.
Willow & Pine Bakeshop
Willis, TX
A sourdough business run out of a home kitchen with a porch pickup stand. As one neighbor put it: "She runs a sourdough business and porch stand and has amazing products."
Porch stands are exactly the kind of business that never shows up in a search result, which is most of the reason this list exists.
Chicas Creamery & More
Willis, TX
A local creamery and sweet shop — and worth singling out, because they showed up in the thread and then spent it recommending five other Willis businesses instead of talking about themselves.
That's a good neighbor.
Keke's Snow Balls
810 FM 1097, Willis, TX 77378
Shaved ice on 1097. Non-negotiable infrastructure in a Texas summer.
The Willis Sno-Cone Shop
W Mink St, Willis, TX 77378
The other sno-cone stand, and the fact that Willis supports two of them tells you something true about July here.
Lilly's Coffee Shop
507 S Danville St, Unit B, Willis, TX 77378
Named four separate times — enough that it would have made the consensus section if the votes had come in a little earlier. A coffee shop on South Danville with a quietly loyal following.
Lip Lickin Lemonades
Willis, TX
Fresh-squeezed lemonades, working Willis-area events and markets.
Pop 'N Stuff
Willis, TX
A local snack and treat shop, recommended by another Willis business owner.
Beyond the Brew LLC
Willis, TX
A local coffee business that came with a teaser attached — a neighbor said they have "some great things in the works to add. So excited for them."
Worth watching.
Hair, Barbers and Beauty
Salon Bei' Elle
13185 FM 1097 Rd W, Suite C, Willis, TX 77318 · salonbeielle.com
The owner dropped in with news worth repeating: "We just celebrated our 10th year in business!"
Ten years in a small-town salon is a review in itself. Full-service, with stylists specializing in color and cutting.
Catch a Fade Barbershop
Willis, TX
One neighbor gave the most specific recommendation in the thread: "Just took my kids today! The cuts and vibe were on point for my boys! Very friendly and reasonably priced!"
Family owned and operated, and new to Willis.
Plush Nail Bar — Willis
12360 Interstate 45 N, Suite 200, Willis, TX 77378
Named in the thread. Manicures, pedicures and nail art, right off I-45.
Razor Republic Barbershop
FM 1097, Willis, TX 77318 · razor-republic.com
Opened June 2026, run by a 20-year veteran of the hair industry. Precision fades, custom cuts, razor work, beard grooming, hot-towel shaves and waxing.
New enough that most of Willis hasn't found it yet.
Solar Works Nail and Hair Salon
Willis, TX
Nails and hair under one roof, with individual stylists you can book directly.
WaxPro Esthetics
Willis, TX
An esthetics and waxing studio, named alongside Lilly's by the same neighbor.
Elevated Artistry
10653 W FM 1097, Unit C, Willis, TX 77318 · elevatedartistry.org
A permanent cosmetics studio on 1097 — nano brows, powder brows and lip blush. Run by a local artist who's a mom of three.
Permanent makeup is a trust purchase more than almost anything else on this page, which makes a neighbor's recommendation worth more than usual.
Inkdom Collective Tattoo & Piercing Studio
Willis, TX
A tattoo and piercing studio in Willis, named in the thread alongside two of the town's coffee favorites.
1/2 PINT Tattoo Studio
Willis, TX
Another Willis tattoo studio — three of them turned up in this thread, which is more than a town this size usually supports.
Luigi Pokedme
Willis, TX
The third, and the best business name in the entire article.
Kids and Family
Majestic Youth Sports Center
11467 FM 2432, Willis, TX 77378 · majesticsports.com
The owner introduced it herself, and admitted the bias up front: "I may be biased since I'm the owner, but I think that children are the future and EVERYONE should know that we cherish the children in the community and pray that we are always a positive and fun place for them to be."
Youth gymnastics, tumbling and dance.
Grace Pointe Dance
Willis, TX · gracepointedance.com
Named twice. Ballet, jazz, tap, acro, hip hop, pom, contemporary, lyrical and musical theater. Open since fall 2017.
Home Services
Elevate Exteriors Texas
Serving Willis, Conroe, Montgomery and The Woodlands · elevateexteriorstx.com
They introduced themselves in the thread with a house wash special and a phone number, which we'll take as enthusiasm.
Soft washing rather than blasting — low pressure that lifts dirt, mold and algae without damaging vinyl, brick, stucco or paint. Fully insured.
Baxter Family Plumbing LLC
Serving Willis, Conroe, Montgomery and Montgomery County · RMP #46433
The owner introduced the company in the thread. Licensed and insured, with 20-plus years in the trade behind it.
Worth knowing about before you need it, which is the only time anyone thinks to look for a plumber.
McShan Wash Solutions
Serving Willis, Conroe, Montgomery and New Caney
The second pressure washing company named in the thread, introduced by its own owner. Pressure washing and soft washing for homes and driveways across Montgomery County.
Two soft-wash outfits in one thread means it's a competitive trade around here — good news if you're getting quotes.
Garcia Brothers Pest Control LLC
Willis, TX
A family-run pest control company, recommended by another local business rather than a customer — which is its own kind of endorsement.
Texas Bin Works
Serving Willis, Conroe, Montgomery and Montgomery County
Curbside trash and recycling bin cleaning — sanitized and deodorized at the curb. Launched a month before this thread.
Asked why bin cleaning, the owner gave the best answer anyone gave: "It's a niche that is very underserved in the growing communities in our area. We love to serve people and this was a great way to be of service to our community."
Photography
AnandaJoy Photography
Willis, TX · pet photography studio on FM 1097
They cover family, senior and pet sessions — and the dedicated pet studio is the part that makes it unusual out here.
Your Reflection Photography
Willis, TX · yourreflectionphotography.com

Willis, TX · heathernolanphotos.com
Recommended with a heart emoji and no further explanation.
Shops
Marigolds Gifts & Vintage Collectables
Inside Ace Hardware, Willis, TX
One neighbor: "She has the cutest stuff!!" A gift and vintage shop tucked inside the hardware store, which is about as hidden as a gem gets.
Adore by Dollie Mannina
Willis, TX
A local boutique, named in the thread.
Yesterday's Treasures, Mall of Antiques and Collectibles
113 W Stewart St, Willis, TX 77378
Roughly 6,000 square feet of antiques and collectibles across many vendors. One neighbor: "Great shop, friendly vendors, and fantastic prices."
And then someone who works there said the thing that explains why this article exists at all:
"We have been here almost 10 years and people come in telling us they didn't know we were in Willis."
Wellness
Stronger Training
206 N Thomason St, Willis, TX 77378 · Mon–Fri 8am–8pm, Sat 8am–1pm
A veteran-owned strength gym, built deliberately as an alternative to big-box fitness. Memberships plus group and one-on-one coaching.
From the thread: "Veteran owned and operated! One on one coaching! Personalized goals with strength and longevity in mind!"
That IV Girl
Willis, TX
An IV hydration service working the Willis area, named three separate times — the most-recommended business in this section by a clear margin.
Willis Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine
Willis, TX
Physical therapy and sports medicine, serving Willis.
Why this list exists
Every business here got named by a neighbor in a Facebook thread, for free, because someone thought they deserved more attention than they were getting.
That's the whole idea behind Houston Pros HQ — a free directory of Houston-area businesses organized by what they actually do: coffee shops, salons, barbers, restaurants, pressure washing, photographers, kids' activities and about forty more.
Own a business in Willis, Conroe or Montgomery? Listings are free. If yours is named above and isn't on the site yet, or the details are wrong, that's a two-minute fix.
Know a business that belongs here? Send the name. We're doing this town by town.
